The City of De Soto is seeking applications for the position of Code Enforcement Officer.  High School diploma, vocational training, GED, or equivalent is required. Requires a valid State of Missouri driver’s license. Responsibilities include picking up and impounding stray animals, attempts to locate the pet’s owner, assists with their adoption and investigates various animal complaints. Transports stray dogs as necessary. Maintains animal facility as necessary.  Issues summons, tickets and enforces violations pertaining to the municipal animal laws and ordinances. Enforces other nuisance complaints. Prepares written reports. Public relation and computer skills are necessary. Full-time position, forty (40) hours Monday – Friday.  Starting salary is $30,160.00, Pay Grade 109. The De Soto Police Department is accepting applications for the position of full-time Police Officer. The starting salary for this position is $43,000 plus educational bonus.
