CITY OF DE SOTO PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

MAINTENANCE WORKER

The City of De Soto Public Works Department is seeking applications for a full time Maintenance Worker. High School diploma, GED, or other certificate of competency; experience in manual work and proven record of dependability. Requires Missouri CDL Driver’s License, or must obtain within six (6) months. The work includes general maintenance and repair work within the Public Works/Parks department. The starting salary is $14.50 per hour, may be higher DOQ and licenses. Applications are available at City Hall, 17 Boyd Street, De Soto, MO., between 8:00 A.M., and 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER (DISPATCHER)

The City of De Soto is now accepting applications for a full time dispatcher.  Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, etc. Minimum qualifications:  U. S. Citizen, 21 years of age, H.S. Diploma or G.E.D., possess a valid Missouri Operator’s License. Pre-employment requires a physical exam, drug screen and background history investigation. Desired skills: computer experience, working knowledge of the Windows environment, functional typing skills. Police background, knowledge of MULES is helpful but not required. Salary: $15.86 per hr.
