The City of De Soto is happy to announce the opening of the Animal Control Kennel, here our code enforcement officer will work with the community and rescue organizations to find a home for dogs and cats found and not claimed by their rightful owners.

Currently the City charges a $50 Non-Refundable Deposit to begin the adoption process.  After the paperwork is completed the Code Officer takes the pet to the Vet and brings it current on vaccinations and spayed or neutered.  The cost of these services are discounted and the adopter is responsible for those fees.  Once the paperwork is completed and fees are paid the animal goes to its new home with you.

The Kennel is monitored 24 hours per day however, someone is not always there.  If you would like to inquire about available pets or would like to make an appointment with the Code Officer or to report a code violation, please send an email to codeofficer@desotomo.com You may also call (636)586-8891 and leave a message.  When leaving a message please be as detailed as possible and be sure to include a call back phone number.
