Water System Operations
The City's water transmission and distribution system
serves residents in and around the City of De Soto we provide
water service to over
2800 users, the main focus of the public works division is to provide an adequate supply of safe
water for consumption and fire protection for the
residents and business of the community for the present
and future generations.
The public works division maintains approximately forty-three miles of water lines. Approximately fifty-seven percent are 6 inches in diameter or larger. Approximate lengths of water lines which are smaller than 6 inches (excluding service connection) are broken down as follows:
