A street in the good range
indicates some maintenance, such as seal coating, is
required. A street in the fair range indicates a need
for rehabilitation methods such as overlay, curb
replacement, etc. A street in the poor range indicates a
need for major rehabilitation or asphalt overlay.
City's Public Works Department
evaluates streets for type and extent of pavement
distresses.
These distresses are analyzed by a software
program that gives each street a Pavement Quality Index
rating in the good, fair, or poor range.
